I was an ICU RN. I was checking on a fellow who had been very critically ill & was recovering. It was about 4:45 pm. As I walked into his room he said, ‘My mother died at 4:29.’ As we don’t allow phones, I asked him how he knew.
He said she told him. He was right.

You’re right. I’ve had a number of those events with patients over the years. I think that when the distractions of the day-to-day are removed, which unfortunately occurs when people are fighting for their lives, we ‘hear and see’ more clearly. I’m glad your daughter is ok. 🙏

It was a protest, and most of the participants were peaceful. I do not excuse those who broke windows and became aggressive, but it was not a terrorist attack and it certainly was not an insurrection.

When I see them in junk shops, rusty and looking useless, I buy them. I put on the tunes, cover the table with a tarp & newspaper, and sit down with a pot of water and steel wool. It takes time but they can be brought back to life looking awesome.
(Then I sell them on eBay. 🙃)
