While the urban/rural divide is very real in Afghanistan, even within those categories there are important variations (put simply, not all urban Afghans are elite and wealthy!)
Talked to one of these women. She said many were factory workers in Herat.
They worked for 2$/day. Many were the sole breadwinners.
Now they are told they may be out of a job.
Women's rights are not fancy things for the urban elites. They are what many women need to survive.
