Given Ronson's pretty good early foray into exploring public shaming of those whose views arguably cross a line, it's been pretty disappointing to see him contribute to it when it comes to women whose only 'line' is that we are materially definable and important on that basis.

If I can be slightly spikier on this, after a gin: if you're choosing to ignore this outcome of largely left-wing women organising to meet, speak & freely discuss their rights, you already know what you would've been doing during the sufragette movement.
In case you've wondered.
I'm wondering how people square in their minds, given the history of this, that it is now seen as 'progressive' to protest meetings of women and, moreover, to ostracise women who wish to meet to discuss the law that protects them? The cognitive dissonance must be a high, I guess.

I am very tired of the small group of Scots male columnists targeting Forbes for her personal stance (that she does not force on others or seek to ban) re: abortion and gay marriage, when they also back male rapists in female prisons & women being un-fuckin-definable. Eejits.
I find the inability to separate Forbes’ religion from her politics bizarre when people are happy 2 do this for others. The fact so many in SNP didn’t know her views on equal marriage etc b4 she ran last year (hence the upset) surely shows her beliefs don’t colour her politics?

In matters of the pronouns one is expected to confer on a rapist, I tend towards respecting the victims. Adam Graham was not an 'individual' who raped and terrorised two women.
