I’m new to this. This is a thread. The thing about Sears hits home for me. I worked at Sears as a cashier for two years in high school making $6.75/hr (this was just before the 2009 federal minimum wage raise, which at the time felt like a win…).
The Sears bankruptcy is a prime example of what a rigged economy looks like. Vulture capitalists have hollowed out a company to line their own pockets. It’s time for an economy that works for all of us, not just the wealthy.

Two weeks ago I learned that my older dog had a serious tumor and thought I might not be able to bring him home again. This week, he's tumor free and recovering beautifully. I know he can't live forever but I'm looking forward to many more years of adventures with him ❤

Most of my working time there, I was the youngest person at the store by at least 20yrs. I remember being shocked by how many of them worked at Sears as a second job. At least 3 of the 8-10 people (all of whom were women) I worked with were also full-time social workers.
