In Britain, when a man has betrayed a pure maiden, her spirit returns & haunts him in the form of a hare, bringing misery. The hare is visible only to him. Sometimes it saves him from other misery so that it can continue torture & then eventually causes his death. #FolkloreSunday

Can't have a #FairytaleTuesday without Cŵn Annwn, the hounds of Annwn. Featured in the first branch of the Mabinogi, we meet them as they have taken down a stag, but are driven away by Pwyll. Their existence continue on to the Christian era, where they are The Hounds of Hell.

A sin-eater is a person who consumes a ritual meal up until the 19th century in the UK in order to spiritually take on the sins of a deceased person, absolving the soul of the dead person. Sin-eaters were feared & shunned because of all the sins they carried. #WyrdWednesday
