I believe he doesn't have personal animus towards FSU, or at least he didn't, but he did have a corporate & perhaps personal interest in getting an SEC team in.

I suspect that they are going to use the playoff snub as evidence that the ACC and ESPN has broken the terms of the grant of rights agreement, and that they have not maintained a competitive situation.
The playoff snub may end up being the best thing that ever happened to FSU.
