Part of what makes the masquerade special is that it's Sophie's one night to be a part of something that was never an option for her. It's why she's so happy to be there. Why would she be disguised as a man? 🙁
I think having Sophie and Benedict’s story have a Mulan twist with Sophie disguised as a man at the masquerade could be so cool. I’d adore the additional nod to classic Disney films along with the Cinderella influence and also it’s an interesting way to explore Ben’s bisexuality.
