All the comments blaming everyone for not seeing this movie needs to understand that Mad Max is very much a niche franchise. The last film was nearly a decade ago and absolutely no one was asking for a prequel of Furiosa especially without Charlize Theron. This was a major risk.

While this news is disappointing I think it was ultimately the right decision.
Deciding not to go down the rabbit hole of live service games and continue single player experiences was ultimately for the best no matter how you look at it.
