although the dialogue can be cringy and the cgi can be wonky, the live action version of one piece somehow captures the heart and spirit of the manga beautifully. it’s not flawless, but it is a pleasant surprise. fans and new comers alike will throughly enjoy this series..

this novel was very impactful and mccurdy’s writing style is succinct, yet somehow balanced humor and seriousness, written in a very blunt tone. it was a tough read to get through but i loved every chapter. i highly recommend it..
