Q: Mr. Uematsu, you left Square Enix last year to found your own company. What was the reason behind this decision? A: I had reached an age where I should gradually take the control over my own life into my own hands.

.@DylanoA4 your tweets spurred me to read Crime and Punishment. Honestly, probably the first piece of great literature I read on my own. I have a new hobby! Thank you. <3

@chriskrycho Nice! I think I'm going to pull the trigger on the base M4 Pro CPU model. My 2019 Intel MBP is not aging well.

@jamonholmgren @CedricHolmgren When we first had my kid I could not figure out how to play Breath of the Wild due to the modal nature of the controls :)

Nor can you see the bookshelves of friends, which cuts off opportunities to benefit from their curation and serendipitous discussions of shared interests.

@jamonholmgren you were right about how great Bun is. Cuts out so many unnecessary things in the ecosystem. Can iterate quickly with types and deploy easily. Love it.

@mostly_rts Jung's ideas on the shadow are right, IME: paying attention to the flaws we notice in others is an effective way to self-diagnose that which we cannot accept in ourselves

@jamonholmgren I picked up the Steelcase Leap v2 for $300 or so from a 2nd hand office store. After a few months of use, I'm somewhat underwhelmed, despite loving v1.

@chriskrycho I usually reboot out of habit at 80-90 days because things just get really wonky. Also, there always seem to be updates waiting for me then...

@RogersKonnor @jamonholmgren Ditto with Haskell, ML, etc: reformat the *entire* function and nest everything. It sucks. Most FP langs have pretty significant syntax warts that impede the experience of authoring in the language.

@jamonholmgren Internalizing this will lead you to shared-almost-nothing architectures. Worth it!
