No new cancer cells detected… I’m still in remission 💃. Smiling through the journey to being cancer free. Grateful for life, thankful for each day

Today marks 3 years in remission from cancer. grateful to God & to everyone who assisted me with treatment expenses.
I was on a long waiting list to access the radiotherapy machine at the but it wasn’t working (still isn’t)😔. Could’ve been celebrating with more survivors today
Got cancer? Going through chemo? Need company?
CALL ME
I’ll walk the journey with you & come sit with you during the session. I’ll chat with you & we’ll take selfies.
I promise I’ll make that 4 hrs feel like 30 minutes. I’ll watch you fight & urge you on. I’ll be there 🥰
One year in remission deserves balloons, right! My niece insists we can’t share 😂 Her birthday coincides with my ‘remissionversary,’ so, as she grows, my cancer goes 😎
A year ago on this day, I was hospitalized for urgent blood transfusion. Blood loss is a Chemo side effect. My levels were so low I received four pints.thanks to my doctor, my family, all financial contributions. A big thank you to all blood donors, YOU ROCK!!! I’m alive 🥰
Today I celebrate FOUR years of being in Cancer remission. Grateful for this second chance at life and definitely appreciating every living day.
Here’s to all cancer survivors!!! Let’s keep moving. One day at a time, we can and we will!!

Steve Cox finished 5th in the E final, bowing out of the competition as 29th overall. He sits as one of Africa’s best. Great Olympic debut and experience for Cox 🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼

Glad to see Olympian Isaac Mpofu back at work where he was welcomed by his superiors at Fairbridge ZRP Support Unit. After a commendable top 20 finish at the

games it’s exciting to know what’s next. Thanks to
@NedbankZimbabwe
and to
@PoliceZimbabwe
for the support.
I’m no motivational speaker, neither am I a counsellor. I’m just a girl who went through an aggressive cancer. And I have lived to tell it all, to share my experience and encourage everyone to prioritise their health. No one deserves cancer!
To hear that a Child who battled cancer for 3 years is now cancer free is the best news ever. To see him walk and run, after being in a wheelchair and bedridden, like a normal child is heartwarming.
In sharing our stories, our aim is to inspire, to bring about awareness and to raise hope. Cancer is not a death sentence, early detection is vital. Do not be afraid or embarrassed to get checked...
Great meeting Brian Dzingai today. He’s worked so hard behind the scenes facilitating
@TapiwaMakarawu
and Charamba’s preparations for Olympic qualification and ultimately qualification for the finals. A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle 🕯️

Hello 38, coined today as THIRTY-ELATE!!

Whatever you are going through, whatever you are facing - Cancer, covid, loss, illness - do not let any hurdle prohibit you from moving forward, from attaining your goals. One day you will look back and see how far you have come. Do not give up

A great experience watching Paige swimming in the 100m freestyle heats. Although she didn’t qualify for the semifinals, finishing an overall 25th, it was wonderful to watch her winning her heat 💃
She was 5.2sec behind the fastest person!
A great Olympic maiden performance 🇿🇼
Life is the most important gift, a gift I appreciate especially after walking in the valley of the shadow of death. Today I stand as living testimony of the greatness of God. I am grateful and excited to receive these balloons today 😎
The 4th of February somewhat feels like a birthday to me. A year ago I was battling cancer and my motto was “I am a cancer patient, and I will fight.” This year, now in remission, I say “I am a cancer survivor and I will share my story.”

Balloons for me today 🎈🎈 🎈 grateful for another year added. Cancer tried to cut this life short,but God is faithful. So I celebrate all the more because I’ve been given yet another chance. 🎉🎉🎉
Steve came 4th in his heat… therefore he will compete again tomorrow at 09:36 in the repechage (a contest in which the best-placed of those who failed to win heats compete for a place in the final).
His mom & family were in full support.. and he got to sign some autographs too.
A beautiful sunny day in Paris!!
We headed to

We may find ourselves caught up in a cycle of performing endless duties at church, hoping that our outward actions will somehow insulate us from pain and sickness.
Our blessings don't come from the tasks we complete, but from the genuine devotion and trust we place in God.
'We don't do favors to God, you can't bribe God' was the lesson Marlene learnt after getting angry with God on why she had been diagnosed with stage four cancer. Watch the full episode here 👉

Steve will represent 🇿🇼 in the Men’s Single Scull (M1x) event
Life in remission is all about tests, tests and tests. Its a life on the edge, full of maybe (maybe it’s back, maybe it’s not, maybe it’s hiding somewher, maybe not). But I keep the faith, it’s a tough journey.
PS: I still hate needles 🥹

Called my doctor to check if it was safe for me to do 21km and he said, “In addition to your cancer medication, you may need to save up for knee surgery.”
He gave me the green light and I did my first ever 21km.

As I say Rest In Peace Patson, I must say that survivor guilt is consuming me. Since I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer, Patson is the 5th person I talked to who has succumbed to cancer. Can’t reconcile all this 😔
Thank you again
@YanayaLifestyle
… I may not always post pics…but thank you for such healthy food and enduring that everyone is catered for. Finally a place where no one looks at you funny when you say you’re lactose intolerant 🥰🥰🥰

Please donate blood 🩸
Over the years the price of blood in Zimbabwe has become a cause for concern. The fact that blood is donated and then sold does not sit well with many people. And some have decided to boycott donating until something is done…
Took my last antidepressant last night and I’m feeling apprehensive about it all. I keep resisting the urge to ask my doc for another prescription as I have somewhat become dependent on them for months. Withdrawal symptoms kicking in...depression is real.
Sando dzako Marlene Gadzirayi, the CEO of the Zimbabwe Olympic Committee! Vakataura mazwi akasimba at our reception last night. Vakati seize the moment, shingai, go for your dreams. That's what the UK’s Chevening scholarships are all about.
Steve finished 4th in the repechage, missing out on the quarterfinals.. he will compete in the E/F semifinals tomorrow (29/7) - It means racing for a spot in Final E, or Final F.
Finals A-F are the final ranking races. Only final A races for medals and final ranking 1-6

A big congratulations to all Chevening applicants who have been selected to the interview stage. It’s a stage that calls for celebration, but the real work begins now… here’s a short guide on the next steps
📌What to do asap before prepping for the interview:
A mother should never watch her child dying. I watched Nisher dying, her mother fainted in my arms. I was helpless. I’m devastated. A brain tumour that could have been removed. Cry my Zim health services. RIP Nisher 💔💔

The month of June is dedicated to Cancer survivors,.. shout out to all who are on cancer treatment, those in remission and those who are cancer free… in this pic are 3 ladies who fought 6 cancers combined…
Thank you so much for this offer

. How do I split my parents 🙈 they went through the most. This treat is definitely needed, and your menu is exactly what my doctor ordered. Thank you so much. Lunch treat duly accepted 🙏
Happy 1 year 'remissionversary.' We love a 'good health' story & any reason to celebrate it. To help you celebrate we are offering free lunch to you and any one person who has walked this journey with you.

Today I would like to dedicate my 5km jog to parents of cancer patients. It’s definitely not easy to see your child wasting away. You question your capabilities and your faith is shaken.
I guess it’s a calling… I promised to walk the cancer journey with anyone who’s been diagnosed. While I use my personal experience as a guideline, I now wish to be trained in professional counselling. It gets heavy at times. Everyone’s story is unique and I break down a lot.
Cancer is a tough experience. This young brilliant mind is only 21 and has a rare type of cancer. I kindly ask that we join hands to support him. USD$8,000.00 is needed...
