According to @ONS, the opportunity to improve output of the NHS and the public sector in general from the existing workforce is very significant. Here is what it said this morning: “Total public service productivity in Quarter 3 2024 is estimated to be 8.4% below its pre-coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic peak (Quarter 4 2019). Healthcare productivity is estimated to be 18.5% below its pre-pandemic peak (Quarter 4 2019).”
