Stunning data. One thing that is interesting is the social experiment this provides, since there are also 37 million Mexican-Americans, and when you look at the data, Mexican-Americans behave quite well in the US. Institutions matter!

@mnolangray Inland California is very underrated. The weather is still better than 90% of the country, and if you work in a profession like nursing, public education, police, etc., you get coastal California wages without the housing costs.

@ArmandDoma I think Trump has a senile fixation on trying to expand US territory. Whether it's Greenland, Canada, retaking the Panama Canal, or Gaza, it feels like Trump really wants it as part of his legacy.

@wil_da_beast630 Out-of-wedlock kids in these countries still tend to live with both parents in the same household, whereas in the US, out-of-wedlock kids tend to live with single moms. That’s a big difference.

@JosephPolitano Tariffs on allies is incredibly stupid. Decoupling from China has some merits. Still, it seems like there wasn’t even an attempt at negotiating with Beijing.

@jbarro Was always the most likely outcome. Trump didn’t follow through with tariffs on Colombian coffee, and the tariffs against Canada and Mexico would have been far more painful. We got some drama and a mini diplomatic crisis, basically for Trump’s shits and giggles.

@Cuauhtemoc_1521 Una gran figura de la comunidad Mexico-Americana. Él está enterrado en el cementerio católico al lado de la Misión de San Fernando, fundada en 1797, que hoy en dÃa está localizada en un vecindario hispano. Mis dos abuelas y un tÃo mÃo están enterrados en el mismo cementerio.
