@becauseberkeley At $800 a month, it's only $500 more than several homeless shelters in Marin County are charging the unhoused people to stay there per month. They shelters don't call it rent, they call it a "fee" or "contribution", because a shelter charging rent, which is what it is, is illegal.

This is my old neighborhood in Queens!. This is so incredible because on the same street the thursday after 9/11, some white guys from Long Island came in and busted up a hookah cafe as "revenge" for 9/11. Now people are open about standing up for their rights. This is amazing.
