@weamnamou I appreciate your perspective, but your experience doesn't represent most Chaldeans. Most of us were born in Chaldean/Assyrian lands, not Arab lands. We grew up fluent in Sureth, not Arabic. While some Chaldeans have integrated aspects of Arab culture, it is not inherently ours.

@Sherefname @baselazzo Yazidis are foreign to the Nineveh Plains, and nearly all of their villages there are originally Christian/Assyrian. The same book in your first image mentions that many of the villages/towns only became Yazidi in the 13th-15th centuries. Syriac writers didn’t call Kurds “Medes”.
