Assyrians will not stay silent. Why does the
@kurdistan
government have a problem with Assyrians speaking up? And why are they so worried about the diaspora? My message to every Assyrian, watch this video, share it and listen.
The NPU proclaimed that
#Christianity
would remain in the land of Nineveh,

. Our soldiers rang the church bell of Mar Youhanna Syriac Catholic Church after liberating the town of Baghdeda✝️

One year later in 1933, Iraq massacred the Assyrians in Simele, Nohadra. Till this day, the bones of our martyrs are visible and our massacre is not recognised. This country never loved us, it only loved those who were subservient.

The Syriac Catholic Mar Behnam Monastery in Bakhdida has an inscription dating back to 1739 calling it an “Assyrian monastery”. Professor Amir Harrak from the University of Toronto presented this inscription in 2019.
Nineveh will always be our home❤️
There are documentaries hours long on Assyrian history. Our empire ruled for 19 centuries. And it’s all documented, Assyrians are mentioned and maintained genetic continuity from fall of Nineveh till today. We are their descendants. Only the uneducated fall for this propaganda.
Iraqis have no problem claiming our history and saying it is theirs. However a majority will deny the Simele massacre committed against Assyrians, are the reason Assyrians didn’t have autonomy in 2017 (Mosul arabs) and till today continue to ignore our struggles.
Iraq is built on the blood of Assyrian martyrs and innocent women and children. If you’re Assyrian and you identify as Iraqi, you are spitting in the face of your ancestors that died so you could keep this name. There is no greater disrespect to one’s self.
OTD 91 years ago, the Kingdom of Iraq, led by Kurdish Iraqi General Bakr Sidqi, massacred ethnic Assyrians in Simele.
Today, the bones of our martyrs remain visible, the site is neglected and our massacre is not recognised.
A survivor tells her story:
Prime Minister Masrour Barzani’s tweet originally mentioned Assyrians, but it was quickly changed to 'Syriac.' This adjustment highlights the KRG's strategy to undermine the Assyrian identity and cause sectarian tensions within our community. Shameful.
@Kurdistan
It’s disappointing to see members of our community put so much faith in these arbitrary borders. If Mosul had become part of Syria/Turkey 100 years ago, you’d be a Syrian/Turkish nationalist today. Bet Nehrain is not defined by these modern day borders. Wake up.
If I wanted to see Assyrian history, I’ll visit a museum, or visit sites that are hundreds of years old. And we’re not the ones claiming Hurrians, Gutians, Sumerians, Medes, Hittites, Mitanni etc. Who’s stealing history?
The mayor of ܬܠ ܟܐܦܐ (Tel Keppe), Basem Billo returning to the Assyrian town in 2017 after its liberation in North of Mosul, holding our beautiful flag.

Assyrians should not rely on the Church for leadership. While we respect our Church and are proud Christians, our Churches have divided us. We need secular constitutions that work for the interests of the Assyrian nation and it’s people. Only then will we begin to progress 𖢗
Today marks 10 years since ISIS's takeover of the Nineveh Plains, displacing 120,000 people.
Assyrians need a self-governed region to protect ourselves, preserve our heritage, and ensure such a tragedy never happens again, without relying on Iraq and the KRG for protection.
Sydney Muslim wishing harm upon Assyrian Bishop Mar Mari. People agreeing with him in the live. Christians are not safe in Sydney as long as extremists like this are free.

Lmao where are the arabs in these plots? HAHAHAHA let me guess, ottomans? Kurds?💀 tell me, define arabs because im curious to what is your idea of an arab.🦦
An Assyrian football player from Melbourne, Australia has been awarded a professional contract in the A-League. We wish you nothing but success. ܒܣܡܐ ܓܢܘܟ݂👏🏽❤️
Kurdistan 24 is screening a documentary about Jerwan, an ancient aqueduct in Kurdistan.
The extraordinary engineering marvel was built by the Assyrian King Sanharib over 3,000 years ago.
I wrote an article about Jerwan Aqueduct last year for

A US lawsuit reveals that

leader Masoud

and his forces played a direct role in the massacres committed by IS*S against Yazidis and Assyrians.
I thought you didn’t believe Assyrians exist? All of a sudden he’s Assyrian and not “nestorian” or “kurdish christian” like your people claim? The truth is you only use our name to make us look bad. Your motive is clear.
90% of Christians living in living in the north are Assyrians. They’re mislabelled as “christian kurds” all the time. When this word is used, 99% of the time it’s towards us. It’s almost always used as an attempt to erase our identity. We have nothing against Christian kurds.
“So, as for Christians, there are Chaldean Christians and they are the origins of the ancient Assyrian Iraq”.
You are misquoting his words on purpose to promote your agenda.
The murder trial of Gevriye Ego has begun. The 92 year old from Tur Abdin was killed by assailants who waited for him to return home.
Notably, AssyriaTV is vocal about Kurdish oppression of Assyrians, and Gevriye Ego is the father of Dikran Ego, an editor-in-chief at AssyriaTV.
@Kurdistan_TR
Notice how little people respond to your posts? Have you asked yourself why aren’t Kurds taken serious? You worsen your situation with shit like this. Keep going. On top of that Kurds are boasting about rape and child porn. Amazing look.
They try and provoke us Assyrians by posting and labeling these murderers as “wise” and “peaceful”. He was a coward that left his men behind and massacred innocent people. We know your agenda. Your true colours are showing.
Memorial for the Assyrian victims of Al-Anfal Campaign in Gondi Kosa, modern day Iraq. Saddam’s Regime massacred around 2000 Assyrians and razed around 80-90 Assyrian villages in Assyria during that time.
@beeky___
An Assyrian that converts to Islam was an Assyrian that wasn’t connected with their culture, unaware of their history and already distant with their community. These people are lost.
@j0ta8_1
@alyanalmalik
Assyrian Christians were using the word God: ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ (Alaha) before your religion came about. What’s your point? You took the word from us.
Kurds are now attempting to create an “us-versus-them” dynamic. They post this knowing Armenians will push back. Then, they’ll run to support Yazidis and defend them, hoping that the Yazidi will become convinced that he shares a common goal and the same enemy. Shifty people.
On this day 10 years ago, a three-year war began with ISIS. The true natives of the region, the
#Assyrians
, were largely affected. Many never recovered and still suffer from trauma. Today, the government makes little effort towards reparations. We will never forget.
@AzatAlsalim
We call for an autonomous region in the Nineveh Plains, a safe haven for the native Assyrian Christians. Let us defend ourselves, we cannot rely on incompetent governments that disarm us and flee.
@AzatAlsalim
“Kurdish christians exist!!!”
“You guys aren’t the only Christians!!!”
“Can’t you accept Christian kurds exist😡”
“Nobody is calling you Christian kurd”
Below we can see how the term “Christian kurd” is being used. One example of many.
100% unity was never a prerequisite for any group or movement in history, why is it needed for our cause? Let’s not waste our time chasing individuals that do not want to unite with us and start moving forward.
@_TheNationState
They pass laws that hurt our community. Our schools are underfunded. They’ve done nothing to help the indigenous people of the region. Being allowed to practice your religion is the bare minimum. Our people still face discrimination. This doesn’t change anything.
We support a Chaldea province in southern Iraq, Basra. Ethnic Chaldeans who have nothing to do with Assyrians are native to the south, and deserve self rule in their native homeland💙☀️💙
Doctor doesn’t know the difference between Syrian and Assyrian…Just because there was an Assyrian involved doesn’t mean it was an Assyrian faction. If we go by your logic you should agree ISIS was a Kurdish group.
@helenax11_
Thank you to the Kurds, proving again why they are a backwards people. Despite being 1/9th of their population, they are terrified by the mere mention of Assyria and its people. Good to know.
@RyanIdris7
@menavisualss
Despite constantly bringing up the fact that we are “irrelevant” and “small”, you people panic at the mere mention of our names. It’s good to know you fear us.
Everywhere you go you will see Assyrian history. Ancient Lamassus from thousands of years ago and our monasteries date back to 640AD. They want to erase the Assyrian name and identity. It won’t happen. When you have no connection to the land, you resort to ethnocide👇🏽
@BenjiLeder
Bit of a stretch. The further you go back, the more modern groups these ancient civilisations contribute to. Naming a neolithic site that old as solely Kurdish is inaccurate.
For all the Assyrians that aren’t interested in the homeland and are too caught up with their western lives, this is a reminder of how some of your people back home feel.
