I see no lies. Academics are the worst at establishing “work-life balances” and setting examples.
I never wanted to be an academic, and during my PhD I got a good look at faculty work culture, and what I saw didn't change my mind.
I rarely saw academics healthily use that "flexibility" aspect of their jobs, despite constantly citing it as a top benefit of their careers. 1/3
