I make Youtube videos because I smoked a lot of weed during film school and missed a plethora of important information regarding my potential career of choice.
(SPOILERS FOR DUNE II)
One of my favorite parts of the film is how Stilgar’s fundamentalism is almost treated as charmingly humorous at the start, but come the end of the film, you realize how dangerous it ends up being, demonstrating the folly of fanatical faith left unchecked.
few scenes in films have made me laugh harder recently than the moment in dune: part two where paul is like bro i’m not the messiah and stilgar and the fundamentalists are like but the messiah would be too humble to call himself the messiah so that means he IS the messiah…
I thought Joker 2 was bad… but the fact that so many chuds who thought Arthur was their people’s champion in the first movie have to face that Joker 2 frames him as actually just a nobody loser with main character syndrome is a pretty funny silver lining tbh lol
Saw Speak No Evil today. Not only was it great, but once again solidifies that James McAvoy is one of the finest & most under appreciated actors working today. Always gives it his all in every role no matter what and elevates any film he’s in. Bro was a fucking BEAST in this one.
Between the Stonetoss dox, Andrew Tate’s arrest, and Ludwig Goransson’s comments at the Oscars being interpreted as anti-gamer, today is like 9/11 for dudes who blame feminism for their inability to get pussy.
@MedKits101
“I don’t care what you believe. I believe!”
It doesn’t come across as such in the trailer, but this is actually a horrifying line in the context of the film.
Because ten years ago dudes online weren’t so perpetually goon brained by the culture war that they didn’t see a black character and immediately becoming suspicious that they were diversity hires. Media really hasn’t changed. Types like these have just become more deranged.
A perfect example of how Breaking Bad gets misinterpreted. So many think that line is some badass moment… when in reality the context is a dude yelling at his wife in their bedroom trying to play the part of a badass.
One of the reasons Herbert wrote Dune: Messiah is cuz he lamented that many who read Dune came away thinking Paul’s ascension was a heroic triumph, thus completely missing the point he was trying to make. Chani’s portrayal in the film ensures no one walks away with that idea.
That’s a pretty big cope. The sort of cringey rad fems you find in SJW compilations are an exceeding minority. The reason most Tate fans think they are so prevalent is due to them being terminally online. This is a victim mentality many men adopt that is not remotely masculine.
@macabstory
I’m not an Andrew Tate fan, but he wouldn’t be anywhere near as popular if it wasn’t for radfems. They really are to blame for his success.
@memedreamsauce1
Legitimately what the ever loving fuck was Todd thinking? The r*pe scene. The Gary scene. Every musical choice. Bro must have been trippin.
Of all the things I hate about Ani so far in
#13reasonswhys3
for some reason it’s the fact that she eats her sandwich on her date with clay in Ep3 by tearing off pieces instead of just fucking biting into it. It’s a fucking sandwich!
Some of the comments drive me insane.
Reminder that while many view this as some "badass" moment, it's a fucking loser yelling at his wife like a toddler because he somehow takes her saying she doesn't want him to get shot in the face as a slight against his fragile masculinity.
It’s almost like the vast majority of people who aren’t complete fucking morons can watch Gone With The Wind while understanding it was made over 80 fucking years ago and undoubtably is far from woke. You absolute troglodytes.
It’s a shame that Tom Cruise is objectively a psycho because besides the whole Scientology thing, everything I hear about bro makes him seem like the most based man alive.
Tom Cruise was offered the role of Edward Scissorhands in Tim Burton’s movie of the same name.
He reportedly declined the role because Burton couldn’t provide specific answers to questions like how the character would go to the bathroom.
@EsemicolonR
Breaking Bad IS a pretty on the nose dissection of Walt’s view of himself as a man, which drives many of the major narrative turns of the series. How is that even debatable?
The cast for the much-anticipated West End production of Romeo and Juliet has been announced. English actor Tom Holland will play Romeo while Francesca Amewudah-Rivers will play the stunning and beautiful character of Juliet in the doomed romance.
She is talking about men forming spaces to discuss male issues.
You are talking about gatekeeping hobbies because you are scared to talk to girls.
These are not the same thing.
Men had Star Wars - women invaded
Men had sci-fi - women invaded
Men had video games - women invaded
Men had D&D - women invaded
Men had comics - women invaded
Men had Men’s only clubs - women invaded
The only thing men have anymore is either solitary or you fuss at us for.
The community note is hilarious. Imagine you are some poor bastard trying to make ends meet by driving for Uber and this absolute clown show starts rattling off the dumbest shit you have ever heard for the entire duration of the ride.
@MedKits101
Agreed. I could see them doing a continuation series maybe w/ HBO or something (even though the later novels get SUPER weird), but if he sticks the landing with Messiah, we are talking GOAT film trilogy potential.
Midnight Mass with Hill House a close second. Also reminder that Hamish Linklater gave one of the best television performances of not only that year but of the decade and got SNUBBED at the Emmys.
If you can't even make it a minute into a 4 minute video because you want to insult someone, you're not trying to be critical of their video. You're just an ass
Why are the chodes losing their shit over this? They literally did this in Into The Spiderverse and basically no one cared. The pearl clutching is so cringe.
More and more it seems evident to me that the people who piss and moan about TV being bad nowadays never watch anything outside of Disney shit. They claim everything has an “agenda” now when they are the ones who seem to be VERY selective when it comes to the current state of TV.
Dune & Dune Messiah: Wow, what an insightful deconstruction of heroism and the folly of religious zealotry.
Children: Wow, what a - wait… he turns into a what?
God Emperor: HOW much time has passed!?
Heretics: Worms are back. We good.
You can criticize the writing of The Boys. But if your critique is “the satire is too on the nose in S4” then of course you are going to get dunked on since it has ALWAYS been on the nose. THAT is why you’re being mocked. Cuz where tf have you been for the last three seasons!?
@LJamila005
That sort of seems like what they were trying to do ultimately. That Arthur was only believed due to him playing a role as opposed to being himself. But holy fuck the execution of this idea was fucking terrible.
@Mriamepic
But that’s the whole point. If someone asks me “hey who is your favorite among these?” and your response is to spitefully be like “anyone who chooses Zendaya is nuts!”… like… what are we doing here?
@spookymiracle
@AlexusForbis
@TheAcademy
You do realize this is only going to lead to people assuming deserving diverse films are only being nominated due to these new standards right? And it probably isn’t going to lead to studios actually fixing the diversity problem at the front end of production?
It’s always really cringey when the people who complain about writers being obsessed with identity politics are oblivious to how they are actually the ones obsessed with identity politics.
Allow me to illuminate you. Peter was not well served in this movie. When he's introduced, he's so giddy with girlish delight at being a father that he's almost oblivious to the existential threat to the multiverse that's revealed to him. (cont)
@0nlyMeez
There were so many ways they could have made this scene mega-cliche but instead it is the true turning point of the film in more ways than one.
Yes, the concept of masculinity has shifted over the last several decades which has left many young men confused. The solution is to give men a new, healthy version of it. Not stamp your feet like a toddler and blame others. You are giving men a weak, victim mentality. Stop it.
Hey.
The Boys season 4 is absolute trash.
The attempts to stay relevant and "modern" comes across like a bunch of boomers reading leftist talking points on reddit got together and ripped off a comic book series.
All subtly and nuance has been tossed out the window in favor
It’s established that not only does the Empire underestimate the size of the Fremen fighting force by a factor of 20+, but that they also downplay their will to fight, hence why after the Fremen were given a unifying force in the form of Paul, they cleaned house.
Still can't get over how in the first one they made the Sardaukar these ominous warrior-fanatics that reduce the very galaxy to fearful awe...
And then in the second they have this one just mowing through them like it's nothing. lmao
It is rather telling that so many manosphere types are obsessed with the idea of getting cucked or secretly enjoy cuck porn. It speaks to a deep insecurity and inadequacy complex.
For the homosexual youth, this is what adverts were like 20 years ago. We have literally gone back. Woke status: Put away by Sydney Sweeney's mommy milkers.
Why do these conservative idiots like to ignore that countless Oscar winning actresses ALSO have had children? Natalie Portman literally accepted her Oscar while pregnant you stupid fucks.
This is just proof that it’s not about having “poorly written LGBT characters” but that there are really many out there just that straight up don’t want to see them in their media. Insane.
The persecution complex that trad wives have developed is almost as bad as the one gym bros have. Ffs no one gives a FUCK if you stay home or if you work out. Stop with the victim mentality.
Rewatching The Office, it is insane how they frame Roy as if he is being completely unreasonable despite that ass clown Jim CLEARLY overstepping numerous times with Pam.
@spookymiracle
@AlexusForbis
@TheAcademy
You miss the part where I discussed the actual problem in the studios? You realize most films already meet the standards considering how lax they are and they aren’t going to change a thing right? But I’m sure you actually care and aren’t just putting on a show so surely you do.
I can’t even describe the severity of the second hand embarrassment that would be coursing through my soul if I ever saw someone wearing this Jesus fucking Christ
Andrew Tate isn’t the problem. There will always be red pill masculinity grifters ready to take advantage of insecure young men. The question is how did we as a society leave said men behind to such an extent that they are vulnerable enough to take these fucking idiots seriously?
It’s amazing how just from hearing Sneako talk for less than 60 seconds you realize he has absolutely no knowledge about the trans experience, HRT, gender reassignment surgery, etc. Bro is just a clout chasing NPC.
Katie Sheldon is a 20 year old from Dublin and already a world class professional darts player. Today a world title and £2300 prize was stolen from her by a male cheat, years older and twice her size.
Will the Irish media and fellow athletes stand up for her?
#SaveWomensSports
Love these characters, but holy fucking shit can we start using some strong female protagonists that were released in at least the last 5-10 years instead of always using these two from 30 plus!?
I really wanted Doc to be innocent but he wasn't, by his own admission, that's why I deleted my "firm handshakes reply", you may have noticed leftoids spamming it in my reply.
After I re-read his statement, after he deleted then added back "minor" it just felt weird.
@radicalbytes
Look I know this is most likely bait and that’s fine, but I honestly feel other people actually believe this and it truly worries me that a generation of filmgoers are this incapable of recognizing good vs. bad writing. It’s honestly a bleak future ahead of us...
@CHSommers
“...critic Janet Maslin recently tweeted her surprise at the “active hostility about ‘Little Women’ from men I know, love and respect.”
I don’t know a single man in my life who would skip any movie just because it stars women.
Janet’s either lying or keeps shitty company.
Rachel Zegler reveals that instead of “skin as white as snow,” ‘SNOW WHITE’ live-action will feature a new origin story for the princess’ name:
“It fell back to another version of ‘Snow White’ that was told in history, where she survived a snowstorm that occurred when she was a
You mean the scene where a man has the chance to leave his enemy to a horrible fate but shows the strength of character to save him which in turn leads to his enemy showing him mercy; them displaying a mutual instance of strong moral fiber?
Aight.
Here’s a brutal red pill for you dudes struggling out there:
If you fail with women where you live, you’re probably going to fail with women wherever you go
“Western women” aren’t the problem. It’s probably you. The good news is you can improve.
Here's my advice to single American men who feel hopeless about ever finding a good woman to marry:
Take a month or two between jobs and drive across the USA. Stop at every gas station and truck stop, and eat every meal at diners during non-rush hours. Avoid cities; stop
RPGs are all about customizing your character however you want. How is that “narcissistic”?
Bro you need to calm down, your BP gotta be off the charts with how angry you get over dumb shit.
Ever since this dude’s Midsommar review where he misread the ending so badly that his entire fan base had to hold his hand in the comments it’s been hard to take him seriously. This is your brain on anti-wokeness.
Glass Onion may be one of the most triumphantly, defiantly stupid movies I've ever seen. How it somehow fooled people into thinking it was a smart, complex mystery is absolutely baffling.
Watching the first ep. of Hawkeye and the idea of a musical based on the Battle of New York is fucking insane. It was a catastrophic event that leveled half the city. Imagine someone making “9/11: The Musical”. Yeah, fuck no.
She literally used the bathroom you and your ilk would want her to… and she still faced violence.
This has nothing to do with bathroom bullshit.
You just want trans people to suffer.
