There is a general working malaise throughout the country post-2020. You can feel it in every industry. It has less to do with WFH and more to do with the feeling of "nobody cares, so why should I."
Addressing that systemic issue is far more important than forcing long commutes
I’ve yet to meet one person who works from home that actually works from 9am to 5pm with a 30 minute lunch in-between with the occasional bathroom break.

Car seat regulations are insane. Rear facing until 40lbs. My 18mo couldn’t fit, knees pushed into her stomach, hated the car. I said fuk it and turned her forward. Sanity restored.
