@kerrancejames FDU was also not the conference champion. The real champion was ineligible because it was transitioning into D1.

I think Bill James once said that the best teams don’t have great records in close games because good teams aren’t on the losing side of blowouts. So most of their losses are close games while bad teams, most of their wins are close games. Just a thought. #sjubb

Here is the current predicted team efficiency landscape, based on ratings from split into tiers. The last nine national champs have been in the "Title Favorites" group on Selection Sunday. Right now it's just Auburn, Duke, Houston, Florida, and Alabama.

I always knew we could reach a big level of cultural significance in NYC. I'd heard about the 80's and what it was like. But to hear Carl Banks when he was on @EyeonStormPod talk about what it was like, to see that Clyde's shouting us out on MSG...it's just wild man. #SJUBB

@madeformarch @t_creer54 Right, sometimes it’s clear. Sometimes it’s because you need a slomo replay from multiple angles to tell. I can live with it if we miss a couple.

@madeformarch @Maccone21 It’s tough because obviously bad calls are frustrating way to end the game. But I like 60 seconds. If you can’t tell in 60 seconds, then the call stands.

@tominsalem Their average seed has improved, but they are dragged down by a handful of outliers who have them as a 6 or 7 seed.

While we all know this is happening, but #sjubb just tied their most wins since the 00 team won the BET, with 7 games plus BET and NCAA tournament to go. Just elite.

What a great week for St. John’s. With wins over Marquette and UConn, the Johnnies have been elevated to a protected No. 4 seed. Who did it replace? Kentucky, of course.
