When I was in 4th gr. we had a field trip to like a history re enactment place ? The bus driver got so lost we never made it :’) but w/ our teachers help he stopped at a park with some water toys and they let us play for a few hours and it was fun to have such a long recess!

I remember as a teen going to a bookstore and buying “Enchantress from the Stars” bc the cover was cool, for like $2. 1970’s sci fi fantasy and one of my all time favourite books as a kid!! There are so many amazing books that aren’t popular but so worth it :)

My biggest reason to remain child free is that I do not want to go through a pregnancy and birth. If I change my mains and have one kid (just one!) I can try adopting or finding a partner who already has kids lol , but I do not want the medical complications of pregnancy :’(

Exactly! Even very old extant garments from the 1800s show evidence of alterations. Ppl have been reusing and altering clothes since forever. She had it altered with professionals and the dress wasn’t destroyed, it was fixed to fit her. There’s literally no issue 😅

Detrimental to kids. Where are they learning how to be people and do things?? They learn that from the safe grownups in their lives. I remember being taught to sew by my dad’s friend’s wife - I was 16 , she was 70! Kids need more adult interactions (and taught how to stay safe)

I have had anxiety my ENTIRE LIFE , as far back in my memory as I can go , I have been an anxious kid. Diagnosed with GAD/OCD at 17 and now realising that … I think it was just little autistic me not knowing how to adapt to the world and it made me anxious.

Europeans are so spoiled with their cross country high speed trains and still Ryanair instead !! the only reason I fly so often is bc I visit family a couple times a year across the country (IL -> CA) and if there were more reliable trains I wouldn’t !! (Amtrak takes 2 days)
