π§΅Last month in Florida my uncle threatened my parents lives with a legally owned firearm. He was Baker Acted and institutionalized for 10 days. The police never asked about his weapons, when he was released they asked for someone to pick him up and take him home with no recourse.

Luckily my family had access to his home and was able to remove the firearms but that is so rare for victims. If he hadn't been ill we would have a man with dementia and a collection of guns down the street.
