@PolitlcsUK @thetimes Complete and utter nonsense. He should be embarrassed coming out with such rubbish,

@AllisonPearson It doesn’t need to. Regulations are already in place to deal with such officers. Sacking them illegally is wrong. The ruling was fair & the commissioner remarks bizarrre & disrespectful to the court.

@InspGadgetBlogs If he was coming toward me with an axe, and my taser had already proved ineffective I would have discharged my firearm.

@FlorenceWoodle1 @AllisonPearson @patrickamon The current system is not delivering. Despite the hysteria & scare mongering, the vast majority would be willing to pay extra for an enhanced health service

@KEdge23 @PoliceInspForum Dear Lord. What an embarrassment, the guy cannot answer a straight question, just parroting pre rehearsed lines.

@afneil @AllisonPearson Starmer is a lawyer. He operates in a black and white world. He does not have creative thinking skills. As such he has no statecraft, no diplomacy skills or an ability to see the bigger picture. Effectively he does not have the skill set to be leader of a country

@joe_armitage Everyday there is further evidence that Starmer and his government are not fit for office. This is beyond farcical. Badenoch is correct, the country needs a leader not a lawyer.

@by_niels21222 @afneil @TimesRadio Cameron was aware of these ‘security reasons’ last year when FS. He didn’t proceed with any deal as did not deem these ‘security concerns’ as valid. Sadly Starner has the backbone of a jellyfish and as a lawyer does not understand the nuance of foreign diplomacy.

@PKendrickWIG Any chance it’ll be someone who can actually put the ball in’t back of the net, or is that asking too much?

@DaleJohnsonESPN Hardly a surprise. Why the pgmol doubled down & dug a bigger hole by claiming it was the correct decision is beyond me.

@DaleJohnsonESPN Feel for Oliver. He made a mistake, that much is clear, but the whole purpose of VAR is to help him out & ensure it’s rectified. That’s where the issue lies in this instance & that process needs looking at.

@PKendrickWIG It was a straight red. He was high on his calf with no intent to win the ball. We’re risking an additional game for a frivolous appeal.

@SimonCalder Simon, is there an explanation as to why the government are continuing to allow Northern to operate such a ridiculously poor service?

@ukhomeoffice @YvetteCooperMP Half measures and doesn’t go far enough sadly. Please do the right thing and announce a national statutory inquiry.

@labourlewis I support the right of the Israeli bowlers being allowed to compete. A nation protecting itself from terrorists is extremely important and I support them in that right and condemn those virtue signalling idiots who disagree.
