I held my girl in my arms and said it was okay to leave. 17 years together. A vet told me I had to bring her in.
I regret listening to her. I wanted my girl to be under the Apple tree in the sun.
She was my last doggo.

This happened in NZ. Instead of being sent to my biological father. I was placed in an children’s home. Drugged, beaten and sexually abused. My only crime was the colour of my skin. I am Maori from my father and Pakeha from my mother. I am a survivor. Thank you🌏

My guardian angels passed. Since I was a child, an abused child my Aunty stood by me and with me. She defended me against our toxic family. She was always there for me. I explained to her why I supported the Resistance from NZ. She just nodded and smiled.
