Here to glorify God and enjoy him forever. Husband / Father / MDiv @RTSJackson / Teaching Elder @ Northpointe PCA

Isn't it interesting that God grounds this commandment in his own rest on the seventh day (long before Moses). Isn't it interesting that Jesus speaks of the Sabbath as being made for man (and never releases us from keeping it). Then there is Hebrews 4:9.
The Sabbath (not circumcision) was the sign of the Mosaic Covenant. Which is why under the New Covenant, Christians are not bound to Sabbath. They’re instead bound to enter Christ’s rest EVERY day in faithful dependence on His righteousness. Today’s sermon on Ex. 20:8-11.

A good start to a necessary conversation.
Grateful to the fathers and brothers of the Central Florida Presbytery (PCA) for voting earlier this afternoon to adopt St. Paul’s overture (affirming the consent of the governed regarding assistant pastors) and sending it up to the General Assembly.

@JustinBorger @SEdburg Overall, I applaud the wisdom of moving in this direction re: Asst P's. Though it seems the OC will need to iron out some of the specifics as to the 3/4 majority and the restricting language of 5 years. Thanks for your work in getting a conversation started!

Wait, a reasoned, balanced perspective on AI? By a Presbyterian? And the sky remains in its place?
When we see AI as a tool, we put it in its proper place. Like a hammer or a calculator, AI doesn’t replace human effort or intelligence—it extends and enhances it. Preachers can view AI not as an enemy but as a servant. AI can not (and should not) do your job for you, but it can help you do your job better.
