In his book on Tim Keller, @collinhansen wrote something surprising: “Future generations will honor Keller better by reading his library than by quoting him.” This was not a slight, but an acknowledgement that Keller took insights from many and tried to synthesize them…

Presbyterians are more Asian than European, Anglicans are more African than Anglo, Pentacostals are more Latino than Northern European. To claim Christianity as mostly European is not only ignorant, it’s an offense against the global work of the Spirit.

We should not give support or even a winking eye to the “Enlightenment” form of slavery that America wisely and painfully excised from her land. Those who supported it were unwittingly deceived by the spirit of the age, and were not being Biblically faithful.

Thoughts on meaning of “Baptism” from studying Hebrews: The Greek word for “baptism” must be understood primarily to mean “washing,” not “immerse” or “fully submerge” as many Baptist interpreters claim. Here’s a couple instances where this is absolutely necessary:

I want a Christian Nation. Yet many self-labeled Christian Nationalists emphasize the (ethno-)nation turning the “Christian” into a soft adjective rather than the center. I want a nation defined by its Christian piety & confession not an ethno-nation that just self-ID’s Christian

Read Mark 7:1-5. English translations use the word "washing" for the Greek word baptism in 7:4. Why? Is it logical to assume before every meal that Pharisees fully submerged their couches? No, they used some sort of washing ritual, probably involving sprinkling.
