@sdesocio I think it was an interview with Peter Lillback on Reformed Forum where I first hear someone say they got that from Calvin who emphasized adoption as the context for our sanctification and so the reason for that order in the Catechism. Blew my mind…

@sdesocio That was one of the first great Reformed insights I encountered was that Sanctification is in light, not merely of justification, but of adoption. The judge of our justification has become the father of our sanctification.
