On Saturday morning I made the mistake of talking about dogs on the radio. Cue cute pics and comments about how wonderful dog ownership is. Five days later and this little fella has burned a huge hole in my bank account. But we can’t wait to bring him home. Name tba 🥰😍

So my mum passed a few weeks ago and the funeral was yesterday. Our youngest has found it particularly tough as they were very close. This morning a school friend gave her this ⬇️…and told her how well she’s coped.
They’re only 11. And I’m thinking, the kids are all right ❤️

Just bumped into the teenage daughter’s boyfriend and his family, hundreds of miles from home at a farm shop in North Yorkshire.
First time we’d met his parents despite living 10 minutes from each other in Norfolk. Had a nice chat.
The kids were MORTIFIED.

So this lad had major surgery on Monday and then developed an infection. At one point we thought he might not make it. At checkup today we were told it was the worst post-op swelling/reaction the emergency vet had ever seen, but hadn’t wanted to tell us at the time. Still here 🥰

I’ve learned a lot since getting a dog. Mainly that I’m not as fit as I thought I was. But also that I don’t actually mind if my shoes are slightly chewed, or the sofa somewhat scratched 🤷♀️ It’s just stuff. And you can’t put a price on fun and laughter, especially these days ❤️
