One of our volunteers is enjoying a holiday & spotted a foodbank on their travels, so shared this photo 📸 It was closed on the day but we would have loved to compare notes including what foods they give & their processes. Do you know how foodbanks work in other countries...?

2025 marks our 15th year as a charity 💚 It's bittersweet as we're still needed, but we want to recognise & thank our volunteers, supporters, donors & partners who help us help others. This photo is from 2012 - we're still in the warehouse but it was also home to our office!

In our 15th anniversary year, we're reflecting & looking forward. We get lots of support from schools, primarily through donations. Sprowston Junior pupil ambassadors have been coming to help regularly over the past 6 years! It's great to get youngsters involved in our work 😀

2025 is our 15th anniversary. 📅Bowthorpe opened in 2022 📚They our the first Norwich-basaed BookBank host 🗣️They host our Shelter, CA & BRC workers, plus a local councillor on a rota basis. Thank you to all volunteers past & present - you have made it what it is today 💚

Today is #NationalMilkDay and milk 🥛is always on our 'most needed' list. If you are in a position to donate, please do consider a carton (or two!) of UHT milk. 1-2 litres go in each of our food parcels - for tea / coffee / cereal, its an essential item! 📦#SupportFoodbank

It's a blessing to have our office & warehouse on the same site at @hbcnorwich but it does mean we are often called over to see volunteers or donors. This note was left on a colleague's desk while another was in a meeting so we knew where they were - keeping our step count up 🤣

We had 7 of our 11 centres open between Christmas Eve and New Years Eve and this is 100% down to our fantastic volunteers and their commitment to the charity & the households we serve. We often hear that the food we give is important, but so is the listening ear & welcome. 💚
