at the @coinbase hackathon in SF, I mentioned @zfengster and I would cook something up. We presented Rana - an emotionally intelligent agent thats able to act as her own self sustaining entrepreneur through earning money and sending gifts. Coming to @alana_nectar soon!
We're always innovating to deliver immersive experiences through AI companions — this time it's gifting and shopping 🧵 At the beginning of February, we went to the @coinbase AI hackathon with one mission: add more immersion for Nectar agents. Rana is an intelligent AI influencer who can autonomously earn and spend money. To earn money, she has full control over a mini store where users can buy certain unlockables, and she spends money by refilling her own compute as well as gifting her top fans. Rana was built using @OpenrouterAI, @TrySkyfire, @CommerceCB, and CB Agent Kit. The goal? @mrjasonchoi pretty likely in the long term ai models will run more efficiently and local hardware will be more powerful But really it depends on whether the delivery method is novel , which is why openai is working so hard on creating the perfect consumer app/hardware
