There are way too many interpretations of what it means to say something "is Ethereum". The claim itself is fundamentally ambiguous.

Why does blockchain need to be more heterogenous?
Like web2 services, blockchains need to be more heterogeneous in their system architecture. This is a prerequisite for elastic horizontal scaling––it does not feel very practical if every node performs the same job and needs to scale horizontally at the same time.

WTF is finality, and why do we need two terms?
Agreed. We probably need two terms.
First, the “maximum” finality achievable in a chain. As an example, for an Ethereum rollup that posts block hashes/content to Ethereum, it will be the status of the hash/content being confirmed by Casper. This is because it is reasonable (imo)
