Hey
@dog_rates
and
@matt___nelson
can y’all help out Buster’s confidence? He’s feeling down because the other pups are making fun of his little stick, but it’s not the size of the stick, right?
Show me a pharmacist who uses Dr. ____ outside of academic spaces… I’ll wait. Also, the white coat is generally not voluntary. But I love being compared to a charlatan 💁🏼♂️
Really trying to give
@ACCP
the benefit of the doubt through everything but then I see who they got for the keynote this year… really yall? One of the biggest sources of misinformation? I’m actually speechless
Feel good 🧵:
2 months ago I began teaching an elective course around providing pharmacy care for the LGBTQ community. I had no idea what to expect from this course as were in the heart of the Deep South. My goal was to simply expose students to concerns of the community
Yesterday Kaleb asked me why we have so many bottles of ibuprofen at the house. When I went to grab some this morning this is what I found.... why would you do this.... WHEN YOU’RE MARRIED TO A PHARMACIST
After what has been the longest and most stressful process of my life, I am so grateful and honored to share I have been promoted to associate professor! A huge shoutout to everyone on
#TwitteRx
who has been a part of this journey and to my colleagues from
@USFCOP
&
@auhcop
! 🎉
Life update- I’ll be joining
@USFCOP
as an assistant professor this summer! Beyond thankful for all of my experiences with Auburn and everyone I have met but looking forward to this new adventure!
One of my biggest issues with the attack on drag queens (and there are MANY) is that if you don't want your kids exposed to drag shows... DON'T GO! The same cannot be said for gun violence. Nobody chooses to be the victim of gun violence, but it is clear that nowhere is safe.
My new elective course on providing pharmaceutical care for the LGBTQ community has officially been approved! Cannot wait to teach this course in the Fall
With everything going on the last few months I didn’t get the chance to study as much as I wanted to (or at all) and I’m beyond blessed and excited to have passed BCACP!
Heading to Orlando for the Florida board of medicine meeting as they attempt to ban gender-affirming care for adolescents in the state. Here to say that today and everyday I stand with trans youth! 💞🏳️⚧️
These last 24 hours have been extremely saddening and heartbreaking as a faculty member, and I can’t even imagine how it feels to be a student. We are here for you, we care about you and support you, and we do not condone these behaviors in any capacity. Change at AU is necessary
It’s been over 24 hours and we haven’t heard a word from
@accp
leadership in response to the numerous voices in opposition of this decision. At a minimum you’d hope they would acknowledge they hear us and are looking into options…

Bringing a little bit of
#pride
to the office today! I’m proud to be able to live as my authentic self and to inspire students and patients to do the same

That student then shared that she made some buttons for her and her classmates that they could wear to welcome LGBTQ patients and show they are able and willing to address their healthcare needs.

Here is the rest of my statement made today and I stand by every word.
@FLBoardofMed
you are attempting to “practice medicine” for patients that you have not seen by determining that they should not have access to gender-affirming care. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
I am so excited/nervous/anxious/ALL the emotions that tomorrow is the first day of the elective “providing pharmacy care for the LGBTQ community”!!! Follow along with

over the next 6 weeks!
Precepting APPE students is by far one of my favorite aspects of my job but I struggle so hard with getting anything else done as my usual multitasking times are spent in discussions with the students.
What are your strategies for balancing precepting with other tasks??
@cvspharmacy
@HaPhanPharmD
Dear
@cvspharmacy
please do not try to use this as an opportunity to reprimand the pharmacist. You need to do better and support your team across the board. This is an issue in every district and at every store.
In all of his crying about being uninvited from
@ACCP
Vinay makes a good point in that when he blocks people on twitter/X, he’s saying “not in my living room” which is exactly what we have said as an organization. You can have your opinions but not in our living room

Probably very premature to do this but thrilled to share that I’m pushing forward with my research agenda and formalizing the process through the formation of the

Excited to have received this year’s “Equality Exemplar” award

We always like to celebrate accomplishments but don't share rejections enough. This week came with a lot of news:
- 2 presentation sessions accepted
- 1 grant rejection
- 1 presentation session rejected/deferred
- young alumni recognition rejection
Acknowledge the good and bad
One of the best surprises this morning at

Chief’s liver enzymes have been severely elevated for the last year with no known cause and tomorrow he is getting an ultrasound. The anxiety is real. Thoughts and prayers appreciated for this sweet baby
I don’t think y’all realize the power that social media has. I was fortunate to meet
@rx_phan
about 3 years ago on this god forsaken app and have had the best time finally meeting him in real life!
#besties4resties
Can’t wait to meet more of yall at
#ACCPGC22
Not to take anything away from any of the recipients but over the last few weeks many of the more prestigious awards from the big pharmacy organizations are going to entirely white recipients. The commitment to DEI really lasted one year, huh?
This happy boi has successfully completed 2 months of immunosuppression to treat idiopathic hepatitis and has been given 6 months until the next follow-up!
This last month I struggled deeply with work-life balance and the pendulum swung to both extremes which left me in a very rough place last week (iykyk). Goal for May and summer is to reclaim balance and focus on myself while accomplishing career goals. Look forward and smile

Saw this quote today and it hit me right in the gut “if you stress about something before it happens you’re basically putting yourself through it twice”
Today chief has an appointment for another ultrasound and possible biopsy of his liver but thankful for the experts at
