@firewalkwjaime The "restoration" removes the belt and changes her necklace! Her facial expression is also completely changed. Idk how anyone can look at that and think that they did a good job with the AI.

TRUE LIES (1994) 35mm scan. I found two scans from different sources but they seem to be different encodes of the same original scan. Both are 1080p with one 5.1 audio track. Stills from the smaller encode on the left and stills from the larger encode on the right. Link below.

very glad people are circulating 35mm scans of classics, but it's puzzling people think these usually beaten-up prints with often distorted color are a necessarily superior way to watch these movies than the discs. they're usually as inaccurate, just in different ways.

@Vidor1 @passionofsofia Fantômas and Les Vampires are really good. They’re obviously less formally innovative but they’re great fun. Ingeborg Holm and Dante’s Inferno are other movies from before 1916 I’d rather watch than Birth of a Nation.

A pattern with MCU movies I’ve noticed is that most of them will have one or two sequences that look great but the other 95% of the movie will look like crap. The still from the movie directed by Sam Raimi is easily the best one btw
