Foolish I used to believe suicide was a sure sign of guilt, but the psychological effect of being accused of sexual offence is massive, more so if you are innocent as I was (I do not know who is innocent or who is guilty)

As a man who has falsely accused of rape, I believe most False accusations are made intentionally to deflect attention from eg infidelity as it was in my case. We can talk about false / repressed memories etc but the majority are brazen criminals fully supported in their lies

The "very high bar" for prosecuting rape& other alleged sexual offences is one persons word against another. Still annoys me every time I hear someone say proving rape is hard. It is like the crime with the lowest standard of all, so low it does not even have to have happened!
