My 7 year old has been playing the fiddle constantly, right beside me, since 7am. I finally sent her into the other room where her father was. He sent her straight back with a bodhrán 🙄

Hey
@Bodenclothing
I am pretty disappointed to see this campaign. My girls are shinty and football playing, adventure loving, fast bike-riding little tykes. Who often wear clothing with sparkles and rainbows. Stop this nonsense of categorising our girls and boys! Let them be.
Musician of the Year 2023 🎉

Dear friends. The islands will welcome tourists back when the time is right. For now, please don’t travel to the Outer Hebrides, or any other part of rural Scotland. Thank you.
The Comhairle is urging people to obey Scottish lockdown laws and not travel to beauty spots in the Islands.
Today's Guardian newspaper contained this photo with the caption ‘Loch Rog on Lewis in the Outer Hebrides. People will be able to drive to beauty spots from Wednesday.’
Born to a Gaelic speaking mother and English speaking father. Gaelic has been in the family for several hundred years. Of course I choose to speak both those tongues. Languages open your mind. My kids are trilingual. I’m working on it.

Shocked and saddened to learn that Bruce Guthro has died. He was such a gifted singer & a powerful performer. It was one of the greatest privileges for me to sing with him onstage & backstage over the years. Love & sympathies to his family & all

Today I’m heading to Gran Canaria for a show. One show. I’m always grateful for the opportunities (and rights) we have as artists and EU citizens to travel and work throughout Europe, unhindered - sharing culture, language and music.

- a respectful reminder - it’s called The Republic of Ireland. Not Southern Ireland. I’d wager that it would probably be good to remember that whilst negotiating the finer points of Brexit.
Just practising a tune in the house there for a telly thing. One of the kids says to me that I sound just like a professional🙄

My first spin as a

A clip from soundcheck yesterday . Singing 4-part harmony in the oldest church in Belfast with Zoë Conway, Éamon Doorley and John Mc Intyre. The first Presbyterian Church was founded in 1644, and the current building erected in 1783. A really special place to sing in ❤️

Please - if you intend to travel to beauty spots, treat the place with respect. Take home your litter. Care for our stunning landscapes. And don’t blame campsite owners who take the difficult decision not to open. The problem is disrespectful visitors to our wild places
