@ValiVailVali @iamwillgnyc @yashar Imagine being a reporter who every day has to justify to Internet assholes why you deserve to eat, have a home and get paid for your job like everyone else. Complaining to a journalist about paywalls is the equivalent of being a Karen bitching to a cashier about the price of eggs

@notcapnamerica I had a coworker who was into all that natural, don’t expose your kids to too many chemicals nonsense. One day she shows up to work and says, “Did you know you can get a yeast infection in your belly button?” Yep, that’s what happens when you don’t bathe your kid regularly.

@mollyfleck Libraries serve a community’s educational and intellectual needs. They are not recreation centers for kids to burn off energy. They are the opposite. There are activities for kids and plenty of parents who have figured out how to access them. The library isn’t a playground.

@clalter59 @NPR If we make children take time out of their school day to train them on how to best dodge bullets and make it to lunch alive, they can attend political rallies without being traumatized. Hearing the word “motherfucker” is hardly the thing that’s ruining their childhoods.

@LadyDanio @Olfurni @AliceJaneGray Yes! Rescues can be nutty with rules. I had a rescue decline my application to adopt a 15-pound dog because I live in an apartment. An apartment I’d somehow kept a 40-pound dog alive in for 14 years. A year later they asked me to foster while they remodeled their facility.
