Amen, Amen I say to you:
If you wish for greatness, then I wish you pain and suffering. On the level of business- no one that ever built something great had an easy ride to the top. Lost friendships, sleepless nights, difficult conversations, money shortages.. the list goes on. On the personal level- anyone I know that truly seems to be at peace has a story where they finally had enough. Enough unhappiness, enough anxiety, enough depression. You’ve all heard the saying, a diamond only becomes a diamond under immense pressure. Cliche sure, but what a perfect metaphor. So again- if you wish for greatness, then I wish you pain and suffering.
