@CloserKj Depends on how you structure your lifestyle/expenses. As long as lifestyle creep doesn’t catch up to you, and you keep earning, it could provide a sense of safety.

@DanielKaplanRE I started my roofing company when I was 24. We had the results to back it up and we have always paid better than anyone else so no one batted an eye. Or if they did- I didn’t notice/think about it.

It’s difficult to see the other side if you’ve never been in the position. I’d spend more time going after a couple grand from a handful of customers a month for the “principal” than putting my time and effort into the actual business. My employees and paying customers deserve a strong company not distracted and weighed down by the 1% of people who planned on screwing us over the day they signed the contract. You’re giving them too much power. It’s not bad karma to prfioritize properly and look at the bigger picture. If the dollar amount is big enough we will place liens.
