Exactly right—and it’s long past time we rebalance the separation of powers. Federal judges are not philosopher kings that can decide what the president may and may not do simply by issuing nationwide injunctions.
If a judge tried to tell a general how to conduct a military operation, that would be illegal. If a judge tried to command the attorney general in how to use her discretion as a prosecutor, that's also illegal. Judges aren't allowed to control the executive's legitimate power.

How quaint that woke @WheatonCollege thought it could weasel out of this situation and placate its lib alumni by claiming not to want to “embroil itself in politics,” when of course by publicly insulting @russvought this way it has, is now at the center of its own mini news cycle!
An important aspect of Wheaton’s retraction of its Vought post is that in the run-up to the 2024 presidential election, the school hosted a political event with anti-Trump speakers from The After Party, a group whose aim is to “reframe Christian thinking” about politics. This program was financed exclusively by left-wing secular funders, including Bill Kristol’s anti-Trump group, the Defending Democracy Together Institute — which the campaign finance watchdog Open Secrets highlighted as a major source of dark money in the 2020 and 2024 elections. Moreover, Christian authors like @Natasha_Crain have highlighted that The After Party’s content is “in no way non-partisan” and seems intended to “confuse [church] members into believing that there’s a moral equivalence between the political parties.” I asked Wheaton if they held any similar events with political conservatives, and they declined to answer. The entire post-colonial discourse is shifting. Turns out South Africa under majority rule (among many such places) has been a total failure.
The United States stands ready to help the descendants of settlers in South Africa who are being expropriated and abused by the South African government. Pursuant to President Trump’s Executive Order, the State Department is suspending all non-life saving aid to the Republic of South Africa. Persecuted South African farmers and other innocent victims being targeted solely based on their race who choose to resettle in America will be welcome. The United States will also defend the rights and interests of those remaining descendants of settlers threatened with expropriation without compensation and other intolerable abuses. We will no longer stand by while God-given rights are so cruelly violated.

This is how it’s done. Pay attention @WheatonCollege, before you’re completely captured by the left (if you haven’t been already).
Trigger warning: We will not be deleting our earlier post congratulating @RussVought.

@BlueBoxDave You want a public apology from a junior DOGE employee for social media posts he sent as a teenager? Gimme a break.

Treating a man who thinks he’s a woman with dignity and respect would mean telling that person the truth and not doing anything to confirm him in his dangerous delusion. Showing respect doesn’t mean being nice, passive, weak or cowardly. Sometimes it means being brutally honest.
One can and should be repulsed by sex change treatments for adolescents and biological men in women’s sports and still treat adult trans people with dignity and respect.

If you’re a Protestant pastor posting snarky takes like this on X, you’re signaling that you’re not really interested in engaging with or persuading Catholics. You’re just shit-talking and trying to provoke Catholics, which is a weird & disturbing thing for a pastor to do.
If you run to Rome for smells and bells it’s the same as running to Big Eva for smoke and lasers. Both are pursuing a sensory experience.

Ok and how much are the subscriptions?
Dear god. Hard to believe we're on day two of this. Let's unpack. Politico offers policy-focused newsletters (Politico-Pro) for a price. People who work in those fields are smart to pay for it because it provides exclusive, important information that helps them do their job. If we want our government officials to be more knowledgable we should encourage that they absorb more material. That comes with a price. but they also pay for lots of things to round out their world view/knowledge base. Politico also offers a wide range of reporting for free. That tends to be on politics, not policy. No one pays for that currently. Politico also runs a few non-pay subscription newsletters that advertisers can run ads on (playbook, etc). The US government is not buying influence with Politico by subscribing to its Pro newsletters. If it wanted to send the publication money it would probably be able to do it more effectively and at a bigger scale by spending huge amounts on ads. But even then there is a clear, unambiguous line of demarcation between editorial and business. I imagine if you hate the publication and think it's biased none of this will convince you. your mind is made up. But having worked there, I find all this to be ridiculous. The people who write the Pro newsletters are excellent. They're experts in their field. They do the grunt work that keeps the publication humming. And their stories don't carry a scintilla of bias. For them to be oddly targeted is nuts. --30--

Setting aside the merits and qualifications of Musk’s staff, libs have really rope-a-doped themselves into highlighting the decrepitude and senility of Democratic leadership, underlining what a spent force they are—a sclerotic elite raging against the discovery of their scams.
Musk’s commando staff includes guys who are 21, 23, 24 and 25. One is *19* years old. His job title is “Expert.” When you were 19, what were you an expert at?

Notice how Samantha Power conflates all the left-wing projects being funded by USAID with the American national interest. For global leftists like her, funding DEI and LGBTQ propaganda in every corner of the world and enriching the DC overclass is the main purpose of the U.S.
Samantha Power has operated like a rogue intelligence chief. As UN ambassador, she made 250+ unmasking requests. At USAID, she ran a global multibillion-dollar training, recruitment, and operations empire with almost triple the budget of the CIA.

Regular reminder that much of the supposedly right-of-center or conservative think tank world is neither. Never has been. It’s mostly libertarians and neocons who like to call themselves “classical liberals” and then proceed to affirm things like transgender insanity.
Manhattan Institute refers to male policy analyst Jessica Riedl (who announced his name change from Brian earlier today) as a woman.
