@melaniemay04 They are some of the unsung heroes in our schools who give their time and expertise freely to help ensure every child in their care can enjoy the benefits and opportunities a good education can provide. Thank you also to the governance professionals who support the volunteers!

@melaniemay04 @IGovS1 @HoyleRosemary @AlRicNLG @neilayates @Aizenay95 @lisaellenjames @UKGovChat @5Naureen Really good point @melaniemay04 the emotional challenges faced by some in our communities can have far reaching impacts on learning and may not be as obvious as other forms of poverty. Knowing how to address them is difficult.

@neilayates @BarkerLeadershp @5Naureen @AlRicNLG @melaniemay04 @Aizenay95 @LMN_Jayne @janeedminson @IGovS1 @Vickisticks With a cynical view, it might be used as a way to avoid questions. HT/CEO papers which need further explanation make me think perhaps they are poorly written. Rejecting papers which are submitted late and postponing for review at the next meeting is one way to address that.

@5Naureen @AlRicNLG @melaniemay04 @Aizenay95 @LMN_Jayne @janeedminson @IGovS1 @Vickisticks @neilayates Being clear about the purpose of each paper is critical, is it for information, exploration of an idea or decision, a response to a question from the board, a statutory requirement etc A clear structure (purpose, exec summary etc) so they are easy to read Submitted on time
