At the time I did not know the nature of the situation (“law enforcement incident” why the road was closed at first). With more info, yes, it looks very bad in hindsight; it’s a good opportunity for learning and being more careful with wording, particularly with that phrase.

You may have had your phone go off and this may be the reason why. These warnings are to warn of very hazardous travel conditions; think of it sort of like a winter version of a severe tstorm warning. You want to avoid traveling when a Snow Squall Warning is in place!
SNOW SQUALL WARNING until 5pm for much of east and northeast Nebraska. Very heavy snow with strong winds producing white-out conditions are expected as this band of snow moves through the area. Dangerous travel conditions are expected through the evening drive.

How is your car looking this morning? Chances are that it looks like you went off-roading. Once again, this is a result of yesterday's storm system. It caused a dust storm in Kansas, then picked up some of that dust and dirt and brought it down in the storms across the Midwest!
