*An X user sent me this question after I replied to one of his posts. I later found out that he is still living in Israel. He asked me, "Do you think October 7th., was good or bad?" Here is how I responded, and it is my position: Oct. 7th was neither a good nor a bad thing per se. Although I care about every human being, the Israeli population never raised their voices to protest their government's unlawful and inhuman treatment of people they know live across the border from them under Apartheid and a total siege, people who are constantly mistreated, humiliated, abused, tortured, dispossessed, and deprived of fundamental human rights. Yet, the Israeli population never raised their voices and demanded their government suspend the atrocious occupation regime. Know that occupied people have a right to armed resistance, i.e., Hamas, and occupiers have no right to self-defense except for the proportional use of force sufficient to quell a rebellion. *The original post with the question and my answer was initially pinned to my profile on October 26, 2023. I accidentally removed it by accident. The post had garnered close to 4000 views and many likes and reposts until this happened. But it was all for the best because the user's profile was attached.
