Neither are TV debates the ultimate form of scrutiny. Clever asides, memorable attack lines and smooth talking may be the trademarks of winning debaters - they aren’t necessarily the sign of a good PM or leader. I’d much, much rather see candidates face eg @afneil for 30mins.
