medical students, residents & fellows from all backgrounds is the most fulfilling aspect of my work. Very grateful to my mentees

This may be unpopular.
But please DO NOT introduce a person especially in a formal/ academic setting with “I can’t pronounce their last name”. Yes you can. If unsure, you can ask in advance how they pronounce their name.
It’s not hard.
You are just lazy and careless at best.
Beyond excited to share that I was promoted to Associate Professor of Radiology today

Hey

hope you bring at least the same energy to addressing this awful racist article as you did to

- my quick email to the EiC below, I’m sure it could have been worded more eloquently but hopefully gets the point across.
Got my first R01 summary statement back...Score is not in the fundable range but hey, we made the top half and got discussed! Definitely counting this as a win. Onwards to resubmission!
Happy Hanukkah 🕎 thankful to our local

for hosting such a special event, staying strong in the face of the ugliness and hate Jews worldwide have had to face. May the light drown out the darkness, and may we see the miracle of all the hostages safely returned.
Friends, if you are looking for concrete ways to support

@razomforukraine
- I just donated to their emergency fund and hope you will join me 💙💛
I appreciate all the kind messages checking in today. Having left Kiev almost 30 years ago, as a refugee, ongoing events are impossible to process.
My heart is broken for the many innocent people suffering in Ukraine right now.

Ready to share happy news - our son Ronen Morris was born 3/11/20. He is perfect. We named him after my grandma who survived the Shoah, & Matt’s grandpa who took part in D-Day. Our hero=

Sure, I’d love to talk about our new AJNR paper, but I’m currently preoccupied with the existential threat to Israelis and Jewish people worldwide, the public’s “both sides” response, and the question whether it’s safe to send my 3yo to preschool (at our synagogue) tomorrow.

Cheering for all the MS4s and IMGs today - esp those who‘be been told their goals were out of reach. I’m here to tell you all nothing is impossible! Extra love for the IMGs who have to do it all alone, from far away, without a big support group of classmates. You’ve got this 💪

#mamadocs

trying to keep it together and constantly feeling like we are failing at everything… What I had hoped for was a card that says “not the world’s worst mom” so this was pretty amazing
It’s my mom’s 60th birthday tomorrow -well it’s already tomorrow in Germany -really sad we can’t be together right now but grateful she is healthy and safe. We’ve been through a lot and she is the strongest person I know.
Today would have been my grandmother's 87th birthday. Regina Yagnyatynska, Z''L. We tragically lost her too soon, in 2006. Born in Kiev, sole survivor from her immediate family - narrowly escaped Babiy Yar. Brilliant, generous and kind. My role model and reason for everything.
Congratulations to
@jana_ivanidze

Glad we got to celebrate on vacation 😍
Recently heard career advice for junior faculty: “never miss a deadline”.
N of times I missed a deadline in 2020: too many 😐
