في 2012 عملت السعودية مظاهرة من مئات الحجاج في مكة لاسقاط بشار الأسد واعتراض على تخاذل الدول العربية في اسقاط الأسد ورفعتم أعلام الثورة وأنتم متجهين لمنى.
وعلى جسر الجمرات عسكري سعودي رفع علم الثورة وقعد يلوح فيه.
