Sonic Frontiers’ incessant lore references are comically bad, but I think the discussion should be placed more on just how joyless the characterization is, in this game.

Yeah I think Sonic 3 is probably the best out of the classic games , because unlike sonic 1 and 2, it took its proof of concept and elevated it to heights that took the series to stardom in the 90s to early 2000s, with a good “show don’t tell” story and rewarding gameplay
