maybe I am weird, but I miss 90s comics tropes. Cheating, divorce, trauma, conflict. Nowadays genre tries to be so quirky and witty that they feel empty. and even if tropes exist in a media, writers try to fix the conflict as soon as possible. because of audience's attention span

It's extremely funny when it wants to be. And it has some of the greatest characters from any sitcom.
But it's so inconsistent with everything like from poor jokes to poorly written characters where they just take a random end in a complex subplot.

I like stuckmann, i did in past and now too. But since he started working in the industry, He thinks 10 times before say a word. Which is fine with me but when he gets weird with words just to avoid that he didn't enjoy a film. It rubs me the wrong way like he has no freedom now.

Among them, I felt DMC is the only " True Masterpiece ", I am a whore for Murakami stories and dysfunctional characters. but Hamaguchi is a god director for making that plot more personal. The only other short story adaptation close to this is Burning. Which is another Murakami.

I have said this before and will say it again that despite the godly art, Gantz is ass and I am someone who read it 2 times and yet could not finish it, like I read over 300 chapters.
Seeing Gantz creator Hiroya Oku seemingly getting the heat from feminists about his opinion on the Barbie movie is certainly something I hadn't had on my bingo card this year...

The manga/anime is so brave sometimes that i believe it has one of the chad-est mangaka lmao.
He does everything that could make great characters. He didn't care about fans, entertainment or pacing . even finished the manga at a point where he felt he is done. I respect that.

Just watched it today for the first time, It is an extremely weirdly paced film with so many confusing themes. And the moment it was about WWE between monsters it got boring.
I'm not calling anyone wrong but I genuinely don't understand the hate this movie got, especially on a rewatch

Bokuto is one hell of an earnest character. He is extremely jolly and fun. But the way they show how he is running alone in a race leaving everything behind. For some reason he gives this bittersweet feelings which are happy but sad too. You just wanna root for him.
