Finally, it is over. Firstly, I wish to express my sincere gratitude to my opponent, Professor Yannis Pitsiladis from Hong Kong Baptist University, Hong Kong. A true diamond puts everything around it to shine and sets the level of discussion so high that it is difficult to go below. I cannot imagine anyone better for this role, nor anyone more demanding. It was a lovely experience at the end of the day. Additionally, my gratitude goes to my primary supervisor, Professor Yorck Olaf Schumacher from Aspetar Hospital, Doha, Qatar, and my University of Helsinki supervisors and custos of the defense, Adjunct Professor Juha Peltonen, Adjunct Professor Arja Uusitalo, and Adjunct Professor Pekka Rauhala. Without these people thesis would not have been possible. Gratitude also goes to all my colleagues who, in one way or another, influenced the way I think throughout this journey. My PhD thesis on the topic of "Athlete Performance Profile - New Tool in Fight Against Doping" was successfully defended on the 3rd of May 2024 and the doctoral degree (PhD) granted.
