@SiggJohan @BeSaintly I have family on the E and W Coasts, and the South. The fact that you’re from CT makes so much sense. All the women you’re around are in a totally different culture from me. You should move south. Anywhere from Virginia to the Gulf Coast will be better than where you are now.

@DeaconCraig53 It’s a challenge if your friends dont share your beliefs. The internet is great for learning, but finding a community is key. That includes friendship with Catholics your age, with role models a bit older, and with the priests who are closer to your age. These connections help.

@SiggJohan @BeSaintly The virtuous single women I know care more about a man’s character than his looks or finances. Again, these are my friends, so they may not be representative of the general population where you live. A lot may depend on where you live. Different places, different values.

@SiggJohan @BeSaintly Women hold “strings” in dating in the sense that they are often more choosy/selective with who to date. I’m not talking “strings” like manipulation. In marriage, things like income, mortgage/rent, and childcare bind them together in terms of responsibility/commitment.

@SiggJohan @BeSaintly Also, I should add something: all the great marriages I have seen are built on friendship. Why do you feel as though women hold all the strings in marriage? That is for sure true in dating, but I’m not so sure in marriage. What do you think?

@SiggJohan @BeSaintly We now have 2 generations of men and women growing up in this, and the tech will only get worse. There are single women out there who are virtuous and want a man of virtue. I know it’s true bc some of them are my friends. Our culture lacks a good social system to connect people.

@SiggJohan @BeSaintly Also, notice the 2 accounts who liked my post about my younger brothers… We live in a weird world.

@SiggJohan @BeSaintly Yea, I tried to clarify earlier, that’s not what I meant. Please understand what I was trying to say. And I 100% agree with you that there are psychos out there, and they should be avoided at all costs. There are also some great women out there too.

@SiggJohan @BeSaintly I guess you can try to find some social circles based on your hobbies? Maybe someone who appreciates literature? Is there a book club or a writing club? You’re not going to meet her at a club, that’s for sure.

@SiggJohan @BeSaintly Both my younger brothers are in your boat looking for someone to date mostly on the dating apps. They’re struggling to find a good match, and they’re sort of giving up hope. 1 of my best friends met someone on an app, and they’re engaged. It took him a while, but worked out well.

@SiggJohan @BeSaintly I agree. A lot of women my age are very promiscuous. Are you millennial or genz? I’m millennial.
