@AkshayiWeb The issue of lack of insurance concerns many chronic and rare disease communities, as well as persons with disabilities in India. There are ongoing attempts to provide some benefits to persons with IBD via PMJAY. Extensive policy advocacy is required for greater change.

@AkshayiWeb @ibdesis Thank you raising these points Akshay. There are many reasons why these things haven't happened yet. A lot of work needs to be done locally to bring this change. Greater advocacy and patient empowerment at the grassroots level is important. Lack of data is another hindrance.
