Don't think they can give up all responsibility for the product they sold me with this disclaimer. Interesting one. @ComplainingCow

Who would vote for any residents association that mess up their annual budget and unnecessarily close libraries. Its time for #Havering to move on from residents associations in control

For the sake of a pound per Havering resident, three libraries close. A sad day for current and future readers in the Borough. Caused by historic Tory funding cuts and poor past Tory council administration #Havering @LBofHavering
The closure of the three library sites at Harold Wood; Gidea Park and South Hornchurch, on 31 March 2025, is expected to save £288,000 annually. This is crucial for the Council to meet its wider legal responsibilities and ever increasing social care and homelessness demands.

@MikeParcej @radioparr @BoomRadioUK Not taking anything away from their huge success, as we'll hear about in their listening figures, just run risk of getting stale. They forget that, with later retirement ages, much of their audience still work, care about now, not back then, not all taking it easy in retirement.

@radioparr @BoomRadioUK Early days of Boom, they did admit to me, as a young boomer, they do not focus on my age group. And the person who said that to me in their management is my age! The station seems to have got older over 4yrs and is now for people in their 70s/80s.

@MikeParcej @radioparr @BoomRadioUK I agree - "still busy living" and yet focusing on how they were living 50yrs ago and the negativity of getting older. Not saying it's a bad station, it's not, just needs to be more positive about ageing imho
